About Snowshine Expeditions
Beyond summits. Into the Himalayas
The Himalayas are not simply where we operate—they are where our story began.
Snowshine Expeditions was founded with a vision to help travellers experience the Himalayas beyond their peaks. To us, these mountains are more than dramatic landscapes; they are living traditions shaped by history, culture, spirituality, and the communities that have called them home for generations.
Growing up in the Himalayas instilled in us a lifelong connection with these mountains. From dense forests and remote villages to ancient pilgrimage routes and high-altitude landscapes, our understanding comes not only from the trails we walk, but from the people, stories, and traditions that define this remarkable region.
Every expedition we create is designed to go beyond adventure. We believe that the most meaningful journeys are those that foster genuine connections—with nature, with local communities, and with the rich heritage that makes the Himalayas unlike anywhere else in the world.
Our mission is to redefine Himalayan travel by combining adventure with cultural immersion, responsible exploration, and authentic local experiences. Whether you are trekking through alpine meadows, visiting centuries-old villages, or following sacred mountain paths, our goal is to help you experience the Himalayas with curiosity, respect, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Snowshine Expeditions is led by Dhruv Joshi (Founder) and Taharin (Co-Founder), united by a shared vision of creating safe, meaningful, and unforgettable Himalayan experiences.
Operating from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with our primary Himalayan base in Buranskhanda Valley near Dhanolti, we remain closely connected to the landscapes and communities that inspire every journey we design. This local presence allows us to offer experiences that are thoughtful, authentic, and deeply rooted in the spirit of the Himalayas.
At Snowshine Expeditions, we believe that the greatest journeys are measured not only by the summits reached, but by the stories discovered, the people met, and the lasting connection formed with the mountains.
Welcome to the Himalayas—beyond the trail.
